This tutorial was written on March 24, 2003 using PSP 7.04 It is completely my own imagination and ideas.

You will need the following:

  • You can download a trial copy of Paint Shop Pro 7.04 here
  • DSB Flux Plugin You can download it HERE
  • Eye Candy, you can download a free, non time out special edition of Eye Candy 3 HERE.
  • And if you wish to use my egg shape you can download it HERE and unzip it to your shapes folder.

    • Now lets get started.

  • Open a new image.
    Width= 400
    Height= 400
    Background Transparent
    Resolution 72.000
    16.7 Million Colors

  • Click on your Preset Shapes Tool
    Select your egg shape
    Vector is checked
    Antialias is checked
    Set Forground color to Nil
    Set Background color to color of your choice

  • Draw out an egg shape in the center of your canvas
    If you aren't happy with the size or shape, click on the object tool
    Right click in the graphic and select node edit from the menu.

    and adjust the shape to suit your taste.

    Go to Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

  • Go to Effects > Plugin Filters > DSB Flux > and apply the following settings
    Go to Effects > Plugin Filters > Eye Candy > Jiggle and apply the following settings
  • Activate your selections tool and click in the space around your graphic. You should have marching ants around the clear part of your canvas
  • Add a drop shadow with the following settings. Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 50, blur = 72.8, color = a dark shade of the color of your egg.
  • Deselect and Save your work as a PSP File.
  • When you are ready, move on to Page Two.
