    
 
This tutorial was written on April 27, 2003 using PSP 7.04 It is completely my own imagination and ideas. You will need the following: You can download a trial copy of Paint Shop Pro 7.04 here  Now lets get started.
Open a new image. Width= 800 Height= 600 Background Transparent Resolution 72.000 16.7 Million Colors Click on your Selection Tool Select the rectangle shape Antialias is not checked Feather is 0 Set Forground color to pattern and select Spatch Set Background color to #808080 Set Background Texture to Small Bricks. Add a new LayerDraw out a rectangle in the center of your canvas approximatly 220 x 290 Flood Fill with the forground pattern Flood fill with the background pattern Go to effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel and choose the soft edge preset. Add a new vector layerReverse your forground and background settings so the spatch pattern is your background and reverse your textures. Now make your foreground color nil Choose your preset shapes, rectangle, Vector is checked draw a narrow rectangle on the top of your center block like this.
We are going to create the parapet on the top of the castle.Choose the Object selection tool Right click in your graphic and choose Node edit from the pop up menu.
Holding down the ctrl button move your mouse over the top line of your rectangle until you see the add message. Then click your left mouse button and it will add a square node to the line. Add 8 evenly space nodes to your line. It should look like this when you are done.
Save your work as a PSP File. When you are ready, move on to Page Two. Page Two
